Netchka is a project fronted by vocalist, Vanessa Acosta. Vanessa draws influence from old R&B and classic rock, as well as Jazz and the long list of great musicians she has had the pleasure of working with. Her voice and trumpet skills have gotten her into many bands in recent years, most notably The Vespertines and Bootleg Orchestra.
As a writer she lets thoughts flow freely and organically, harnessing the emotions of life, love, hate, and creativity. Singing from a young age, she eventually began writing with an acoustic guitar and playing at open mic's. She has no problem crafting memorable, captivating vocals for any music. Netchka is primarily electronic, with experimental samples and some live drums. It ranges from downtempo grooves to powerful big beats, all of which come to life beautifully with Vanessa's vocals.
